Another Suspension dealt
Yet ANOTHER suspension was enforced by the league. Jarkko Ruutu of the Anaheim Ducks collided with Martin Erat of the Nashville Predators. Watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPd8LJvIpgI The announcers expressed alarmed because they didn't see any illegal play. I understand why the penalty was called though. The ref thought he saw a slight attempt to get to the head. Erat went down and he thought it was a no-brainer (pardon the punn) headshot by Ruutu. Ok so a bad call on the ice happens. But the fact that the NHL jumped in and then handed Ruutu a 1 game suspension (missing game 5 in a close series) is beyond me. There was no clear intent for the head and no dangerous elbow thrown. I might be because Erat (who's injured with what the team is calling an "upper-body injury") is missing game 5. Anyway, I think the NHL got this call wrong.

Ruutu is a repeat offender. Biased call against him
